The wait is finally over! After months of delays, AMD have finally released their new FX Bulldozer based Processors which are based on the Zambezi Architecture delivering a fully unlocked and customizable experience for desktop PC users.

AMD has finally released its long awaited Bulldozer lineup which launches with four new FX Series chips:
- FX-8150: Eight cores, 3.6 GHz CPU base (3.9 GHz Turbo Core, 4.2 GHz Max Turbo), $245 suggested retail price (U.S.)
- FX-8120: Eight cores, 3.1 GHz CPU base (3.4 GHz Turbo Core, 4.0 GHz Max Turbo), $205 suggested retail price (U.S.)
- FX-6100: Six cores, 3.3 GHz CPU base (3.6 GHz Turbo Core, 3.9 GHz Max Turbo), $165 suggested retail price (U.S.)
- FX-4100: Four cores, 3.6 GHz CPU base (3.7 GHz Turbo Core, 3.8 GHz Max Turbo), $115 suggested retail price (U.S.)
Also, combining the AMD FX CPU with a 9 series chipset board and an AMD Radeon HD 6XXX series GPU will make what they call the 'Scorpius' platform that provides HD entertainment as well as an amazing gaming experience. More of a marketing gimmick no?

There are a few reviews above which even show results with the bundled liquid cooling kit we detailed earlier here. The above reviews show that AMD did a great job pricing the Bulldozer chips, The FX-8150 which is priced near the i5 2500K offers 4 extra cores and a fully unlocked design. While the performance doesn't match up expectations, AMD's Bulldozer can provide higher longevity and future proofing to users who aim for gaming and desktop needs with the extra cores avilable at a reasonable price.
