[Original article] CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3 Switch will run at 720p while docked and at 520p in handheld mode, CD Projekt Red has confirmed.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition was announced for Nintendo’s hybrid platform yesterday and the game’s official Twitter account has now confirmed the game’s rendering resolution’s on the Switch alongside its retail file size.

In addition to the game’s resolution on the Switch, it has been confirmed that dynamic resolution will be enabled on the Switch which will lower the game’s overall visual presentation when required to hit the target framerate. The exact framerate on the Switch hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Another interesting new tidbit is that the Witcher 3 will be the first Switch game to use a 32GB gamecard. All of the game’s content, including the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansion alongside DCLs will be included on the gamecard.

The game is being ported to the Nintendo Switch by Saber Interactive in collaboration with CD Projekt Red and is slated for a release later this year.

Set to launch this year both digitally and in retail, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Editionfor Nintendo Switch comes with the base game, as well as every piece of additional content ever released. This includes both story expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, as well as all 16 free DLCs. In total, the Complete Edition offers over 150 hours of gameplay, for the first time playable truly on the go. The game is being ported to Nintendo Switch by Saber Interactive in close cooperation with CD PROJEKT RED.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the first game from the franchise to be released on a Nintendo console, introducing the series to brand new audience, as well as giving anyone who already played Geralt of Rivia’s final adventure a chance to experience it again on the go. The release of the game on Nintendo Switch is also bound to further cement Wild Hunt’s status as the best-selling title of the franchise, which currently makes for more than half of the series’ 40 million copies sold.
