The PlayStation 5 console has yet to be officially unveiled, so there's very little we know about its specs. Several developers praised its computing power, and it seems like the console is indeed going to be quite powerful.
Tum_Apisak, who is well known in the PC community for leaking PC parts codes and benchmarks, recently revealed that the first PlayStation 5 Firestrike benchmark has seemingly surfaced. The benchmark scored a Gonzalo APU, which is rumored to be the PlayStation 5 SoC. According to the benchmark numbers, the PS5 is going to be four times more powerful than the base PlayStation 4 and it will offer better performance than NVIDIA's GTX 1080 GPU, which is definitely impressive for a console

As things have yet to be finalized, the Gonzalo APU is still in development, so things may be different in the final console. Still, things are looking extremely good for the PlayStation 5.
Last month, several statements regarding the PlayStation 5 power started circulating online. The console is apparently going to be more powerful than the Xbox Scarlett.
Yakuza series general director Toshihiro Nagoshi also talked about the PS5 last month, praising the console.
The processing power of PlayStation 5 is incredible, so when we try to think of new gameplay that will utilize its full potential, I’m not really sure which aspects of existing mechanics we should translate.
First there was a time when graphics improved, then there was network features, and now I guess you can say its a return to the “programmable” era? I think artificial intelligence and machine learning will continue to evolve.
The PlayStation 5 will be released on a yet to be confirmed date.
