Vivo NEX 3 glass panel leak reveals a beautiful symmetrical design

Even though Vivo hasn’t launched the NEX 2 yet, the successor of the unannounced phones seems a whole lot more exciting. The well-known leakster has got some new scoop on the NEX 3 and has shared an image of the phone’s glass pane. It seems that with the NEX 3, Vivo will take the same direction as the Huawei will apparently take with the Mate 30 Pro’s design, as the phone is tipped to come with a display with pronounced curves that encompass its sides.

More Details Claim the Vivo NEX 3 Might Arrive With No Notch, No Punch-Hole Cutout; Will Feature an All-Screen Design With Uniform Chin and Top Bezel

According to the leaked image, the NEX 3 will have a display that curves at 90 degrees and extends well towards the sides of the phone, all the way to the back. This means that the phone is expected to sport a glass unibody, with no metal frame in the middle. The tipster claims that the phone will have a screen-to-body ratio of nearly a hundred percent and it will have no holes and notches.

As good as the phone sounds, it remains to be seen how Vivo will implement this design. Given that the phone is more than a year away, it might get the under-display camera technology that OPPO is currently working on as the two manufacturers are owned by the same parent company, BBK Electronics. The speaker and the fingerprint sensor are almost guaranteed to be embedded beneath the display as well.

For charging, the phone might take some cues from the APEX 2019 and implement the same port free design. This means that the phone will probably get a clip-o charger or it might feature fast wireless charging like the Galaxy Note 10 Plus to eliminate the need to charge your device in a conventional pattern.

Here's a closer look

There are no other details regarding the phone right now but we can expect it to come with top-notch hardware and 5G support. With the NEX 3, Vivo can kickstart a new trend in the industry but it will likely take years before this design becomes mainstream. Also, expect the first smartphone with this particular design to blow a hole through your wallet, at least until there are cheaper methods to manufacture it down the road.
