The Grandia HD Collection is releasing next week on Nintendo Switch, GungHo Online Entertainment confirmed today.

The collection including the first two entries in the JRPG series developed by Game Arts will be released on the Nintendo Switch eShop on August 16th.

Both games will come with several enhancements over the original releases.

Grandia HD Collection Features

– Enhanced details to UI, sprites, and texture art
– Original cinematic videos receiving visual enhancements
– Audio: Japanese and English
– Language Support: Original English and Japanese plus French and German translation

Grandia II HD features

– Enhanced details to UI, sprites, and texture art
– Original cinematic videos receiving visual enhancements
– Audio: Japanese and English
– Language Support: Original English and Japanese plus New French and German translation

At the E3 2019, we had the chance to try out the Grandia HD Collection, and they play very close to the original, as the enhancements only involve graphics.

The Collection is going to make all fans of the series happy, with some nice graphics enhancements and the portability factor, which is always good for any long JRPG. Despite both games running great and feeling pretty much complete, the collection has yet to receive a final release date. A bummer, as I really cannot wait to play both games again.

The Grandia HD Collection releases next week, August 16th, on Nintendo Switch.
