Koei Tecmo just released a new trailer for Nioh 2 at Tokyo Game Show 2019, and the sequel continues to look darn impressive. The trailer is in Japanese, so if any plot specifics are being revealed, they’re largely lost, but we do get a very nice look at number of the game’s characters and freakish yōkai baddies. Damn! The first Nioh was a rock-solid Souls-like, but Nioh 2 may actually surpass From Software’s work in some respects. I’m eager to play the game, but also a little scared – I’m still recovering from Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice! Need to know more? Here’s the game’s official description:

Nioh 2 comes to PS4 in early 2020. It’s unknown if that’s just a Japanese release date, but the original Nioh launched simultaneously worldwide, so presumably the sequel will too.
