Apple has released the latest update to its iOS platform and there are several changes that you must know. For instance, several gestures and the way you interact with the content on display is changed. For instance, you can not delete apps from the Home screen the same you used to. A New Way to Delete Apps in iOS 13

Apple has effectively removed 3D Touch from iOS 13. While more or less the functionality of 3D Touch is present, there seem to be several instances where the action only involves a long tap instead of a pressure-sensitive touch. The new iPhone 11 Pro models do not feature 3D Touch and the company may have seen fit to remove the functionality from older hardware as well.

The special home screen quick actions are now available on devices that do not feature 3D Touch capability. A simple long-press on an app icon on the Home screen will now trigger the same action menu. Follow the step by step instructions below to learn how you delete apps in iOS 13.

Step 1: Long-press on the app that you want to delete and the context menu will appear.

Step 2: In the menu, tap on the 'Rearrange Apps' button which will allow the apps to enter the jiggle mode.

Step 3: Now tap on the 'x' on the app that you want to delete.

Step 4: A confirmation dialogue will appear and tapping on Delete will remove the app from your device.

This is the new way to delete apps in iOS 13. However, there is also another way which is way simpler. Simply tap and hold on the app that you want to delete until the jiggle mode is activated. Now tap on 'x' and remove the app.
