Apple released its latest iOS 13.1 firmware to the public yesterday which featured a bevy of forward-facing additions the platform. iOS 13 was released almost a week ago which brought visual changes to the mix like Dark Mode and a new Home screen on the iPad. Apple is known to support its older hardware for several years but it also stands true that old hardware is incapable of delivering the same level of performance as newer models when new software is announced. Here's How iOS 13.1 Compares Against iOS 13 In a New Speed test Comparison

The speed test comparison between iOS 13.1 and iOS 13 have been conducted by the YouTube channel iAppleBytes. The test involves the iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and iPhone XR stacked up running iOS 13 and iOS 13.1. As can be seen in the video embedded below, iOS 13.1 does not bring any major differences in terms of performance gains. All iPhone models have performed more or less similar in terms of app launch times and transitions. Moreover, benchmark results were also pretty similar. The difference between iOS 13.1 and iOS 13 is negligible and cannot be regarded as a reason to resist the upgrade.

Since iOS 13 performance was pretty comparable to iOS 12.4 on older devices, it is good to see that even after a major update, the performance level remains the same. iOS 13 featured several bugs and some of the features were pulled by Apple when it was in the beta phase. Henceforth, if you have not updated from iOS 13 to the latest build, it's wise to do so.
