As it does every year, OnePlus today launched the 'T' variants of its 2019 flagships. The OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro aren't very similar. While both gadgets feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, they're differentiated on the basis of key features that really do make the larger device merit a 'Pro' branding. For instance, only the OnePlus 7 Pro supports 90Hz display refresh, can charge at 30W, has ultrawide and telephoto rear camera lenses and HDR10+ media playback support. Now, with these details in mind, let's take a look at what the OnePlus 7T has to offer.

OnePlus 7T Sports 90Hz Display, Triple Rear Camera Setup & Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 Plus

When compared to the OnePlus 7, the OnePlus 7T is a big upgrade. The new smartphone features a 90Hz display, and a triple-rear camera setup; features that were previously limited to the larger OnePlus 7 Pro as mentioned above. Additonally, the OnePlus 7T also features a brand new circular camera housing that has already been the subject of several camera leaks. This housing, according to the company, has been cut using monocrystalline diamond drills.

The triple rear camera setup features a 48MP primary sensor with a f/1.6 aperture. This lens that's similar to the one found on the OnePlus 7. The new additions on the smaller form factor from OnePlus is an ultrawide sensor with a 117-degree field-of-view and a telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom. This, mind you, is lesser than the 3x optical zoom offered by the OnePlus 7 Pro's telephoto lens. The potrait mode on the OnePlus 7T also supports two focal lengths with 4K video recording at 60fps.

At the processing end, we've got the Snapdragon 855 Plus powering the smartphone. The 855 Plus features higher CPU and GPU clocks, and therefore the SoC will provide users with a better gaming experience than either the OnePlus 7 or the OnePlus 7 Pro. Qualcomm's best CPU will be supplemented by 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.0 storage. The device also sports dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

For the display, the OnePlus 7T has a 90Hz 6.55-inch panel with a 40ms response rate gain over other Android gadgets according to OnePlus' numbers. It also reduces blue light by 40%. The device has a 3800mAh battery, and it will ship with Android 10 out of the box.

The OnePlus 7T will retail in the US and Canada on October 18th with a $599 price tag on OnePlus.com. The device will also be available through T-Mobile.
