iPhone 11 Pro Max Consumer Reports Ratings Praise Its Battery Life & Camera

Apple may not have changed the design of its 2019 iPhone range when compared to last year, but it certainly addressed and thoroughly improved the other things that truly matter to customers. The iPhone 11 Pro Max Consumer Reports ratings reveal a massive improvement in key areas, and just to be clear, the flagship manages to does this while retaining the same starting price as its predecessor, the iPhone XS Max.

While the iPhone 11 Pro packs in its own set of improvements, the iPhone 11 Pro Max Consumer Reports gave the larger device additional praise, despite both handsets practically getting the same internal specs treatment. First, comes the battery life. Thanks to the combination of the efficient A13 Bionic and a larger capacity whose details we got to know about thanks to a previously reported leak, both the iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max can last much longer than their predecessors, despite sporting the same screen size.

“For one thing, the battery life is much better. The iPhone 11 Pro Max lasted a more than impressive 40.5 hours in our testing. That’s the longest stretch of any phone currently listed in our ratings. And it marks a big turnaround for Apple. Just a few years ago, iPhones tended to lag behind the competition in this area. The 11 Pro Max’s 40.5-hour stretch amounts to an impressive 10-hour increase over the 29.5-hour total of last year’s iPhone XS Max. The 11 Pro went 34 hours on a single charge, up from the 27.5 hours of the iPhone XS.”

Also, instead of having two rear cameras, both iPhones are equipped with a triple sensor array that provides one of the best smartphone camera experiences around, at least according to the verdicts of people who have used them. Looks like the Pixel 4 lineup’s ‘imaging’ work will be cut out for Google once they arrive later this year.

“In the case of the 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max, our testers say they notched some of the highest scores in our ratings for still-image quality. The iPhone 11 also rated Very Good in this category. And all three phones received Excellent ratings for rear-video quality.”

The iPhone 11 Pro Max Consumer Reports ratings were also impressed with features like improved water-resistance, durability thanks to the tougher glass, Night Mode and Slofies. While some customers might not appreciate the lack of design change, it’s the insides that have received a slew of upgrades.
