Call of Duty Modern Warfare has yet to be released on PC and consoles, but we know that another entry in the series is already in the works, as it has usually been these past few years. Things, however, are not looking too good, judging from some rumors that are circulating online.

TheGamingRevolution, who correctly revealed details on Call of Duty Modern Warfare before official announcements, revealed that the next entry in the series is going to be another Black Ops game. Treyarch is still undecided on the name, as the game could be named Black Ops 5, simply Black Ops or another variation. The game's current development state is 3/10, which suggests that things are not proceeding smoothly.

With Sledgehammer Games losing its position in the Call of Duty yearly rotation, it's possible that Treyarch has been handed their project only recently, hence the possible development troubles.

Last month, it's been confirmed that the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Special Ops Survival Mode will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 version of the game for a full year. A new story trailer has also been released.

When the world is threatened, you’ll have to get your hands dirty so the world stays clean. In a desperate mission, Captain Price and the SAS will partner alongside the CIA and the Urzikstani Liberation Force to retrieve stolen chemical weapons. The heart-racing fight will take you from London to the Middle East and other global locations, as this joint task force battles to stop full-scale global war. Lines will be drawn, your resolve will be tested, and the world will look to you to do what needs to be done.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month on October 25th. The 2020 game has yet to be revealed.
