UPDATE: The beta is now available to unlocked Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+ variants in Germany and the US.
Samsung's Android 10 beta started earlier this month with the Galaxy S10 series. The software isn't available everywhere, and a wider rollout is expected to commence this week. You can read more about what Android 10-based OneUI 2.0 has in store for users here. Samsung's beta program usually lasts for a month, and a stable build is rolled out a week after. If things go smoothly, we can expect the first OneUI 2.0 builds to roll out as early as mid-November. Ideally, most international unlocked Galaxy S10s should have it before the year ends. Galaxy Note 10 users, on the other hand, may have to wait a bit longer. It won't be long as Samsung Korea posted a hint about the One UI 2.0 beta for Note 10 series today.
A post on the Samsung community forum, the beta program will soon make its way to the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10+, and their 5G counterparts. The software will be available for all Galaxy Note 10 users in Korea. As usual, users have to sign up for the test from within the Samsung Members app when it goes live. Based on the teasers Samsung put out for the Galaxy S10 series, we can expect this to drop before the week. Korea will be the first region to get a taste of Android 10, followed by regions such as Germany (where Samsung is known to test a lot of their software.)
Android 10 -based OneUI 2.0 brings forth a lot fewer changes compared to its predecessor. It is hardly a surprise, considering that most of Android 10's features are already a part of OneUI (or Samsung Experience before that.) Some of the remarkable changes include the addition of Digital Wellbeing features (in part due to Google making it mandatory for all Android 10 builds,) a new system-wide Dark Mode that works in tandem with Android 10's Dark Mode, new navigation gestures, a native screen recording app, and new camera UI.
