Raiden was the protagonist for Metal Gear Solid 2 on the PlayStation 2 and later on had an amazing make over in Metal gear Solid 4 as a total bad ass but Rising will fill us in on the story of how Raiden went from Zero to Hero in 2 games, Rising outlines the after events of Metal Gear Solid 2 and will lead up to the events of Metal Gear Solid 4 (Since 3 was a prequel to the entire Metal Gear Solid series outlining the story of Big Boss) but the change has been taken with a pinch of salt by the fans as Hideo Kojima has pulled a Devil May Cry on Raiden, Find out why in the new trailer.
Raiden is coming back to the Metal Gear Solid series with a Revengeance (A combination of Revenge and Vengeance) after being the weak one out in Metal Gear Solid 2 he has gone from Zero to Hero in the newest Raiden centric game called Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. While the game was first teased at E3 2010 the game has gone significant changes including a change of developer, as I mentioned earlier HERE the creators of Vanquish and Bayonetta are behind the development of the game while Hideo Kojima AND Konami are still producers the game play will still be in the hands of Platinum Games.
The newer trailer is an extension of the VGA 2011 trailer and shows a nice fight between Vamp and Raiden just like they did in Metal Gear Solid 4. While a release date is still in the talks the game is expected to be a 2012 release and so far looks good enough to be a Metal Gear game but NOT a Solid.
