You can adjust the frame rate with 47.95, 48, 50, 59.94 and 60Hz options. Do take note that you can only adjust the refresh rate on your new 16-inch MacBook Pro and previous models are left out of it. This is what you have to do.

According to Apple simply choose the refresh rate that divides evenly into the frame rate of the content that you're viewing or editing. For instance, if the video that you're viewing is set at 24 frames per second, select the 48Hz refresh rate.

1. Head over to System Preferences and then Display.

2. Press and hold the Option key and select the Scaled button.

3. Now, the Refresh Rate dropdown menu will appear.

4. Click on the Refresh Rate pop-up menu and select Refresh Rate.
