At a time when Apple is receiving praise for new hardware releases like the iPhone 11 and 16-inch MacBook Pro, Apple has had a forgettable year in terms of software quality. HomePod, Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad and Mac have all been victims of buggy software updates. A number of features that were originally announced for iOS 13 are still not available to users, even in beta testing.

Apple plans to fix its software quality issues by revamping its development process, as per a recent report by Bloomberg. Unfortunately, we have been down this path before. Apple had a similar internal revamp after buggy iOS 11 release, which results in the polished iOS 12 update. Only time will tell if the latest change in plans has a lasting impact on Apple's software quality problems.
