If you're an Android user, the name MIUI must have come across you quite frequently. MIUI is a custom ROM for a wide variety of Android smartphones that brings a visual overhaul to your phone. And we're not just talking a few color changes here and there, MIUI is a complete revamp of the Android MIUI much like Sense or TouchWiz is and has become one of the most popular ROMs in use today being updated regularly. It just got a whole lot better.
Xiaomi has now decided to release the source code of MIUI for public use which effectively makes MIUI an open source ROM. Some MIUI apps have already been made open source and some will be in the near future. With MIUI being open source, expect newer and better builds with newer features very soon.
