While the entire process is a little lengthy, it is fairly easy since you get a hold of it. Moreover, you can choose from a list of 25 emojis or icons which includes a smiley face, a paw print, a flame, and much more. 1. The first thing that you have to do is launch the Settings app.
2. Scroll down and tap on Focus.
3. Tap on the "+" button situated on the top right corner of the screen.
4. Tap on Custom and give your Focus a name.
5. Select the Emoji or Icon that you want to use, and then tap on Next.
6. Now, choose who can send you notifications and then tap on Allow. You have the option to choose your entire contact list.
7. Now, choose the apps from which you want to receive notifications, and then tap on Allow.
8. Tap Done.
9. Lastly, simply toggle the Focus mode switch.
This is all that you have to do to customize and put an emoji or an icon on the status bar of your iPhone. When you go back to the Home screen, simply swipe to bring the Control Center and then activate the Focus mode with the name that you saved in Step 4. Upon tapping, you will see the emoji or the icon of your choice appear in the status bar of your iPhone.
The process is fairly simple and you have a wide range of emojis and icons to choose from. Take note that if an app or a service is using your location, the emoji will temporarily disappear. However, there is nothing to be worried about as it will appear again. All in all, this is a nifty trick that you can show your friends.
