Samsung phones have been very versatile for the longest time and the best part is that if you are looking to return your phone into stock condition or you are looking to mod your phone, you can do so a lot easier. One of the things that Samsung users are very familiar with is called a tool Odin which you can use to flash stock firmware and well, mod your phone, too. Flash Stock Samsung Firmware Using Odin
Flashing the stock firmware is not at all complicated. So, let's not waste time.
Note: Aside from the instructions, do not change any settings in Odin as it could result in unexpected behavior and could end up bricking your phone.
- Download and extract Odin on your computer from here.
- The next step is to download the firmware for your phone. You can download Frija from here.
- Next up, you have to extract the firmware somewhere on your computer and you will get five MD5 files.
- Now boot your phone into Download Mode; if you don't know how to, follow this tutorial.
- Once your phone is in Download Mode, connect your phone to your computer using a USB cable.
- You will see Odin light up in blue or yellow.
- Now click the BL button and select the file that starts with BL. Click the AP button and select the file with AP. Do the same with the rest of the files as well, but avoid choosing the HOME_CSC if there is one and just go with the standard CSC.
- Once all the files are loaded, just go ahead and click Start.
- The flashing process will start and once it is a success, you will get a PASS! message on Odin and your phone will reboot.
The first reboot after flashing the firmware takes some time so I would suggest that you should wait patiently and the phone will boot up normally.
