When it comes to sharing pictures and videos with your friends and family, Snapchat happens to be one of the main apps that people prefer using. The app has been around for as long as one can remember. However, the one thing that I did not like about the app was the inability to change your username. This means that if you ended up getting an embarrassing username, then you would have to make do with it. The only workaround to this predicament was if you delete your account, make a new one, and then add all the friends back but who'd want to go through that tedious process, right? Well, thankfully, if you want to change Snapchat username, your wish has just been granted.
A few days ago, Snapchat released a statement that stated that the company would allow users to change Snapchat username. Although a great feature, it would come with the limitation that you could only change the username once every year. The feature is now available to everyone even though the official confirmation stated that it would be available on February 23rd. But hey, who are we to complain.
How to Fix and Change Snapchat Username
Now, I do not have Snapchat on my Galaxy S21 Ultra but I tried doing it on my wife's iPhone and the feature is available. Still, I am listing down the process below so you do not have to jump through hoops to get things sorted.
Step 1: Open Snapchat.
Step 2: Once you are on the main screen, tap on your Bitmoji in the top left corner.
Step 3: When you are in the new menu, tap on the Gear icon in the top right corner.
Step 4: Once you are in the Settings, you will have to tap on Username. 
Step 5: The next step is simple, you just tap on Change username and you will be reminded that you can only change the username once every year. Accept that, enter your new username and you would be done.
That is it, you now have a new username on Snapchat. A little reminder that you will only be able to change the username once per year. So, in case you want to end up with something that you are going to dislike, it is better that you choose something that you actually want, and you will be all good to go.
