Instagram Brings a 'Like' Button For The Story - This is How to Use it
The process to like an Instagram Story on your iPhone or Android phone is pretty easy and straightforward. However, many of you might yet not be aware the feature exists. If you are unfamiliar, we have devised a set of instructions that you can follow to like an Instagram Story on your phone. Before you dive into the tutorial, be sure to check the App Store or the Play Store and update the Instagram app. You will not be able to see the new 'Like' button if the app has not been updated to the latest version.

Step 1: The first thing that you have to do is launch the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android phone.
Step 2: Go to any story posted by your friends or family members.
Step 3: When you open the story, you will see a heart-shaped 'Like' button next to the Share button. Tap on it to like the Instagram Story.
This is all that you have to do in order to like an Instagram Story. It is another great addition by the social media giant, allowing users to show their support and interact with the person who posted the story. The process is fairly simple and seamless to use. However, if you accidentally liked a story on Instagram, you can easily unlike it by tapping on the red heart button. Your like would be reverted.
Take note that the new ability to like an Instagram Story is different from reactions. When you like the story, users will receive a notification in the Activity section of the app while reacting to a story would inform users in their direct messages section.
