Before you know how to enable or disable the camera and mic access, you should also learn what the settings mean. To be precise, the camera and mic button control system-wide access to their function. For instance, if you have camera access enabled for Instagram, tapping the toggle will simply disable the functionality. You will only get a blank screen. The mic access works the same way. It is a pretty neat addition by Google that restricts camera and mic access for third-party apps.

Step 4: Tap and hold, then drag the button up to the position where you want.

This is all that you have to do to enable and disable the camera and mic access on Pixel 6 phones. One thing to note here is that both buttons do not remove the app permissions to the mic and camera even if you have disabled them from the Quick Settings.
