It is essential for the secure functioning of any site. If a site doesn’t have an SSL certificate, it isn’t secure, and you should never share your important details like credit card information, etc., on it. This tutorial will show you how to view SSL certificate details in Chrome on Windows 11 systems.
View SSL Certificate Details in Chrome
This method is also applicable for Mac systems, but I am using a Windows 11 system for this tutorial. Whenever you open a site, Chrome will automatically tell you whether a site is secure or not. The security is shown by the tiny lock in the address bar. In modern versions of Chrome, this is where you can check the SSL certificate details as well. Just follow the steps below:
Step-1: Open Google Chrome.
Step-2: Open the site you wish to check the details for.
Step-3: Click on the tiny lock in the address bar that appears on the left side.
Step-4: A window will pop open as soon as you click the lock. Click on Connection is secure.
Step-5: Select the Certificate is valid option.
A new popup will open up that will give you details of the owner, validity dates, etc.
