After years of wishing and waiting, Instagram has finally given users the option to view their feed in chronological order. Initially, Instagram's feed used to be in chronological order but it was randomized after the year 2016. The new addition is now rolling out for iPhone as well as Android users. As mentioned earlier, Instagram does not allow you to set the chronological feed as your default feed. What this means is that you will have to manually enable it every time you launch the app. For your ease, we have devised a series of steps that you can follow. Simply follow the instructions below to view Instagram posts in chronological order.

Before we head over to the steps, make sure that you have the latest Instagram update installed on your phone. If you have not, the option will not appear. Instagram introduced two formats for the chronological feed - Following and Favorites. Both formats can be enabled with the steps mentioned below.

Step 1: The first thing that you have to do is launch the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android phone.

Step 2: Simply tap on the Instagram logo situated on the top-left corner of the interface.

Step 3: You will be presented with two options - Following and Favorites. Choose the one that you want to set and view the Instagram feed in chronological order.

This is all that you have to do to enable the new formats. If you are unfamiliar, both options feature the chronological order aspect. The Following options lets you view posts from people that you follow and the Favorites option lets you see posts from up to 50 people which you can add in the list.
