AMD will soon have a new game bundled with its Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs as part of the new exclusivity deal with Bethesda on Starfield.
AMD & Bethesda Exclusivity Deal Means Starfield Will Soon Be Bundled With Ryzen 7000 CPUs
Currently, AMD bundles its Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPUs with Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and the Radeon RX 7000 GPUs with Resident Evil IV Remake. Now a new game bundle has been discovered over at Newegg by Videocardz which reveals that this year's biggest RPG will be bundled with Ryzen 7000 X and X3D CPUs.
For this purpose, Newegg has set up a new page titled "AMD Starfield Game Bundle Promotion Store" which lists down the entire range of Ryzen 7000 CPUs which include the following:
- Ryzen 9 7950X3D 16 Core 3D V-Cache - $699 US
- Ryzen 9 7900X3D 12 Core 3D V-Cache - $546 US
- Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8 Core 3D V-Cache - $438 US
- Ryzen 9 7950X 16 Core - $698 US
- Ryzen 9 7900X 12 Core - $538 US
- Ryzen 7 7700X 8 Core - $397 US
- Ryzen 5 7600X 6 Core - $299 US
- Ryzen 9 7900 12 Core - $421 US
- Ryzen 7 7700 8 Core - $327 US
- Ryzen 5 7600 6 Core - $223 US
This is great news for gamers who have been looking forward to buying an AMD Ryzen 7000 Desktop CPU and have also been waiting for Bethesda's Starfield. AMD has been announced as Bethesda's Exclusive PC partner for Starfield and the game will specifically be getting multi-thread optimizations around Ryzen CPUs along with support for FSR 2.
There has been some backlash to the exclusivity announcement since Bethesda itself has only so far listed support for AMD's FSR 2 upscaling technology. NVIDIA DLSS and Intel XeSS support has not been mentioned yet but considering that most AMD-sponsored and bundled AAA titles don't feature competitive upscaling solutions, it might be the case here too. As for the PC requirements, Starfield will be dropping support for HDDs and requires an SSD for optimal gameplay. You will be required to have a beefy graphics card to play the game.
Starfield launches on September, 6th, 2023, on the Xbox Series S/X, PC, and Game Pass. We can expect more information on PC-specific technologies adopted by the game close to its launch. Do note that the bundle hasn't been officially announced yet but it is likely we get to see it on various stores in the coming week.
