As the Darksiders II is getting close to the launch, more and more things regarding the game are surfacing. Darksiders II is a direct sequel to critically acclaimed Darksiders and is being developed Vigil games and will be published by THQ;According to THQ, Darksiders will be taking place in the time period same as the first game. Players will step into the boots of Death, one of four Horsemen of Apocalypse and War's (the protagonist of the first game) brother. Darksiders II will feature large maps, that will be double in size as compared to the maps in Darksiders. Darksides II will also feature Strife and Fury, the remaining two Horsemen, but their role will be for a brief period of time;

The Horsemen Death, being aware of War's honor and knowing that he's the most incorruptible of the four Horsemen and would never start the apocalypse earlier, flies into a rage. Death believes that War is a victim of confederacy. After defying Council's order, Death sets out on a personal mission to clear his brother's name and travels to Nether Realms, a place between Heaven and Hell to call in favors from powerful beings that rule the realm.
Darksiders II is set to release on August 14th, 2012 in North America, and 21st August in Europe. Darksiders II will be available for PC,PS3 Xbox 360 and Wii U. Wii U version will arrive later this year.
