As earlier reported about the next Google event, hosted by Android / Chrome vice president Sundar Pichai [read: Pichai Hosting Next Google Event 2013 on July 24 - Nexus Announcement?], it is highly speculated that the event might be about announcing the new Nexus 7 tablet. Already we have seen numerous leaks and news of the tablet, showing potential hardware and software specs. The latest Nexus 7 leak talks about new features though; especially that it would be introduced with wireless charging.

This recent leak about Nexus 7 specs has also confirmed the previously rumored features including 7 inches display, dual camera (with 5 MP rear and 1.2 MP front camera), and Android 4.3 being the tablet's jelly bean OS. Also, we have been hearing about rumors suggesting that Nexus 7 will carry a Quad-core Snapdragon 600, but this recent leak mentions a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor but it doesn't mention the processor model.

Additionally, two new features have been included in this leak. According to this latest leak, the new Nexus 7 will feature 'slim port' support for full 1080p video output - just like the big B Nexus 10. Another new feature highlighted in this leaked image is for wireless charging being built into the new tablet. The wireless charging accessory was also sported by the Nexus 4, although in its case the wireless gig arrived a good 3 months after the Nexus 4 release. So let's hope this would not be the case with new Nexus 7.

According to Engadget sources, leak puts the official release date as July 31st, 2013.
