Its been five months since NVIDIA introduced their Kepler based GeForce 700 series lineup. The first three cards in the lineup were launched pretty close to one another, GeForce GTX 780 and GeForce GTX 770 arrive in late-May followed by the GeForce GTX 760 in mid-July.
NVIDIA Could Be Preparing GeForce GTX 750 TI Graphics Card
For a moment, it looked like NVIDIA won't be releasing any new cards for some time but today, ChinaDIY got information that NVIDIA could possibly be preparing a entry level GeForce 700 series card known as the GeForce GTX 750 Ti. The GeForce GTX 750 Ti would be the successor to the GeForce GTX 650 Ti which was launched last year.
From the GPU-z screenshot, it can be seen that the card has two names, the GTX 750 Ti and GTX 760 SE. I do want to point out that prior to the launch of NVIDIA's GTX 650 Ti graphics card, we got t o see a similar GPU-z screenshot that labeled the card as GeForce GTX 660 SE although it wasn't launched with that name. The specs show that the GeForce GTX 750 Ti GPU would feature 960 Cores, 32 ROP and 80 TMUs which we can assume is the revised GK106 core, running at 1033 MHz base and 1098 MHz boost speeds. The most intresting part is that the card actually comes with a 256-bit memory interface with 2 GB VRAM. This is quiet an update over the 192-bit interface featured on almost every GK106 based GeForce 600 series, the clock remains at the standard 6 GHz effective speed churning out 192.3 GB/s bandwidth.
This would be by far the most highest clocked GeForce graphic cards and would almost match the GeForce GTX 760 with -5% performance in gaming benchmarks. The GeForce GTX 760 retails for $249 so it would be safe to assume that the GeForce GTX 750 Ti would end up with a price point around the sub $199 range. No expected date of the card's arrival was mentioned.
