We spend major time on our smart phones using the connectivity for one reason or the other. Downloading apps, using social media, news, or simply managing our data on cloud; almost every other task needs Internet connectivity. Internet connectivity has become a very essential part of our gadgets and we deem gadgets useless without a data connection. Although, many of us do have a permanent internet connection at homes, we cannot carry our connecting WiFi router with us.

A wireless data connectivity for our portable devices including our tablet, laptop and smart phone is the best thing ever. With only one device connected to internet, we can share the data of that one device with all of the others by using WiFi tethering feature. WiFi tethering is enabled on various Android devices by default, however, in some countries this option does not work without root access. In this post, we will see how to tether Galaxy S4 and Note 3 among other devices to get wireless connectivity across all our portable gadgets.

If you have a US or Canadian variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Note 3 or other smartphone from Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Bell, Rogers, etc, you might not be able to use Wifi tethering without rooting your device. Here is how to tether Galaxy S4 and Note without root. Follow these steps and turn your Galaxy or other Android device into a WiFi hotspot.

How to tether Galaxy S4, Note 3 & other devices without rooting them:

  • This app will add a widget in your device's widget drawer.
  • Add the widget to your home screen.
