The original Tomb Raider is now available on iOS

Tomb Raider can be name as one of those games, which helped sell Sony’s original PlayStation thought the franchise with its subsequent installments, movie tie-ins, and merchandise would prove quite popular in years to come. To me exactly has been seventeen years following its 1996 debut, Tomb Raider I is now available for the iPhone and iPad.

This action adventure recreates the original experience everyone had with Tomb Raider I, environments, levels and gameplay with touch-optimized controls, with support for some iOS 7 game controllers that are now on the market such as the Moga Ace Power and Logitech’s PowerShell.

We’ve not messed about with it, so it’s the full, unedited, unadulterated experience from the classic release at a super-low price. How better to find out if you’ve still got what it takes to beat a legendary game than by taking on the lost city of Atlantis and the pyramids of Egypt? It’s probably not for the faint of heart!
The game includes two extra chapters that were included in the game’s 1998 re-release, giving you a total playtime of around 15 hours. Also supports game controllers such as the MOGA Ace Power and the Logitech PowerShell.

You will be playing as Lara Croft, the archeologist who’s been hired to recover the pieces of an ancient artifact known as the Scion, and that’s all you need to know concerning about the storyline.

The game features environments that every person who’ve played the original game will be instantly familiar to, this is including the lost city of Atlantis and ancient Egyptian pyramids. The same goes for the game mechanics: a lot of gunfights with mixed puzzle-solving adventure elements.

The single-player adventure will see you running around to fight with wild predators, jumping, swimming and climbing as you try to unravel the secrets of the Scion.

You can grab Tomb Raider I for 99 cents in the App Store.
