The recent rumors and leaked images suggest that we will soon be seeing new updates in WhatsApp for iOS 7. These new features include automatic downloads, better privacy control and a camera widget. For the first, you will have the ability to customize what media you want to auto download whenever received. You can also enable if you intend the auto downloads to only happen when WiFi connectivity is available and not on cellular networks.
The camera widget being added to WhatsApp iOS 7 will add a new button next to voice notes. It will allow you to quickly snap a photo and send to your contact (s). 
The third and most important feature is better privacy controls. Plenty of us have stopped using WhatsApp because of its "last seen..." feature. While you may want to talk to one or two contacts, you certainly do not want everyone who has your phone number to see whenever you come online. Pretty intrusive, no?
The latest WhatsApp update is speculated to bring in some privacy controls that will help you tweak who can see you when you get online. These new WhatsApp privacy settings will also help you customize who can see your account avatar. 
These new WhatsApp details and screenshots have come from beta tester Ilhan Pektas. If true, these privacy settings will help WhatsApp not only gain the lost users but also get some new ones who didn't get on to this WhatsApp-trend because of lack of privacy. Pektas hasn't shared any details about the expected time when WhatsApp update will be released.
This latest WhatsApp update with better privacy settings will certainly not be restricted to iOS only, but hopefully will be updated on every platform. Bingo to better, priavte, and more secure online spaces!
