It was only moments ago that Hideo Kojima's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain E3 2014 Trailer made its way to the internet, while the trailer may be completely in Japanese the video alone is enough to send shock you. THIS is Phantom Pain.

Phantom Pain E3 2014 Trailer Appears Ahead of E3, Proceed with Caution!

When Kojima warned us that his latest trailer might not be for the faint of heart, we should have taken him more seriously, this one trailer shows the after math of the events of Ground Zeroes and Snake coming to terms with every thing that has come to pass, he has formed a strong resolve to bring down Skull Face for all that he has done to Big Boss and Kaz. For those of you who have yet to play Ground Zeroes, I highly recommend you sway from the video until you do end Ground Zeroes because the video is filled with spoilers, but on the other hand only time will tell how long the video will stay up.

In case the trailer gets taken down, you can download it in 1080p from Here.

As you can see, the trailer left me at a loss for words. There is so much happening on the screen that I am unable to understand what is going on but I do know that if the trailer has anything to tell us, its that Phantom Pain will be a HUGE hit. This is perhaps the most grim and dark Metal Gear Solid game yet, the losses that Big Boss has to come to terms with have truly set him up to be a powerful protagonist who has changed significantly and to achieve his goals of getting revenge he will have to be ruthless and merciless against all those who stand between him and Skull Face.

For now, the Japanese trailer is pretty silent until the very end where we have a few vocals and some text on the screen, if anyone is able to tell me what the text means, that would be great. The E3 2014 trailer that will be revealed only hours from now will obviously be in English and we will hopefully understand what is going on better but at least the current trailer has given us a good idea on what to expect from the show due to the remarkable pacing that has been set up for us. I for one can not wait for the english trailer and hopefully a glimpse of the 30 minute gameplay that will be shown to the press.

What do you think of the trailer?
