Safari also has received a major overhaul in iOS 8 and the iPhone 6. The improved Safari comes with several new features. Apart from enabling RSS feed subscriptions and tweaking the bookmark icon, Apple has also enabled App Store add blocking options and a new private browsing option called DuckDuckGo which disables online tracking to a significant extent. You can also request the desktop version of a site in Safari which, as the name suggests, loads the desktop version rather than the mobile version.

Accessibility options have also received a significant overhaul in iOS 8. You now have access to a multitude of features such as Greyscale, improved zoom, speakscreen and guided access. These allow easier usage for users with eyesight and other disabilities. Guided Access ends up increasing control you have over your device's usage.

19) More Options For Mail. All The Swipe Gestures You Will Need.

Need to quickly trash a mail? Do a continuous swipe from right to left. Need to flag a mail or do more? Do a simple swipe from right to left and get a host of options. Swipe from left to right to mark as read. And don't like the swipe gestures? Change them using Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Swipe Options.

Go to Mail > Mailboxes > Edit and select Unread to check how many unread mails you have. And to mark all of these as read, simply tap edit on the top right of your inbox and tap mark all as read after tapping mark all at the lower left.

20) Reachability.

With the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus came increased screen size. Increased screen size meant that the days of using your iPhone with one hand were gone. But for all of you who still want to use your iPhone with one hand, Apple has a Reachability option in the iPhone 6 which can be activated simply by double tapping the home key.

21) More Options In Messages.

In iOS 8, you can use messages in a more interactive way than on previous versions. You can now send iMessages over SMS, set a timer for deleting messages by going to Settings>Messages, send photos by pressing and holding the camera button and send a voice message by tapping on the new mic button on the keyboard.

22) Edit Your Photos Like Never Before In Photos.

To edit a photo of your choice, simply open the image up in photos and tap on the edit option on the top right. This will allow you to enhance or change your image with a variety of options. Tap on the wand on the top right of the image and make iOS 8 enhance your photo automatically. Tap on the icon on the far bottom right and you'll be exposed to controls for light, color and black and white options for your image.

Tap on the icon in the center and you'll get to adjust the color tone of your image. And the icon beside that allows you to straighten your photos out. Oh and need to hide a photo from moments, collections and years? Tap and hold your image and you'll see two options come up. Tap on hide and the photo will only be visible in albums.

23) Time Lapse.

iOS 8 adds a cool video option called Time Lapse. Using Time Lapse you can shoot cool vines on the go by simply accessing the time lapse option when your camera is on. Just make sure you shoot at least 30 seconds of video to make sure that the end file is worth watching.

23) See Which Apps Drain Your iPhone's Battery.

iOS 8 now let's you monitor your device's usage even more closely.  By accessing Settings>General>Usage>Battery Usage, you can now see your device's battery usage in detail and choose to remove apps if they're draining battery needlessly.

24) Change Display Settings On The iPhone 6 And iPhone 6 Plus.

On the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, you can toggle between standard and zoomed in the display options. Simply go to Settings > Display > Display Zoom to see what suits your style.

25) Hey Siri.

Don't want to activate Siri on your iPhone 6? Simply say 'Hey Siri' to your device while it's charging to get Siri to work. To activate the feature go to Settings > General > Siri > Allow "Hey Siri". And keep in mind that this option can only be use if your iPhone is connected to a power source.
