Well, it is in news and on Nvidia's Official Facebook page as well. Although nothing more has been revealed so far but a statement on the facebook wall:

Fun Fact of the Week: GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 will be the names of the first two GPUs shipped based on our new GF100 chip!

Now since there has been a lot of hype over Nvidia's GF100 chip, now the truth has come out as Nvidia prepares itself for bringing out the new range in the GeForce series. Although one might wonder what really happened to the GF3xx series, which only saw the daylight in the form of OEM GPU. We can presume that Nvidia may have plans to bring out the GF3xx series for DirectX 10 and 10.1 support and GF 470GTX and 480GTX will support upcoming DirectX 11.

Since there is not much information available anywhere on the Internet, therefore speculations will run sky high. We will keep you posted for more.
