Sony Xperia Z4 will make its first appearance at CES 2015 in Las Vegas. Earlier expected to be a device coming with all new specs and features, it is now speculated that Sony will not be completely redesigning the flagship at least this year. We heard the rumors that Sony is planning to launch a 5.4-inch Quad HD Triluminos display phone, however, recent updates indicate towards a 5.2-inch 1080p smartphone keeping the next iteration just a moderate upgrade from current flagship.

5.2-inch Sony Xperia Z4:

The latest rumors around next-gen Xperia come through PhoneArena who have sourced the information through a fairly aggravated Sony insider. This insider has shared an internal presentation about the device showing 5.2-inch 1080p display.

from the source that leaked some iPhone 6 schematics before, and a few other tips, comes a leak about the Xperia Z4 that claims the same screen diagonal. These are allegedly screenshots from computers in a Sony lab, and the handset is apparently shaping up to have a 5.2" display, just like the Z3. The jury is still out on the resolution, though, as the new leak pegs it at Quad HD again, but it will definitely up the ante in the processing department, it seems.

This presentation also mentions the use of Snapdragon 805. Some rumors earlier had pointed to Sony going for Snapdragon 810, as mentioned by the folks at PA too. However, it is quite unlikely to happen considering the early device launches usually are unable to carry SoCs that are flaunted by later devices like that of Samsung Galaxy S lineup. This year with Qualcomm's production issues, it would be even harder for Xperia Z4 or HTC One M9 to come up bearing 810 processing chip.
