Google's latest update to its mobile operating system platform, Android Lollipop comes with several great upgrades on board. One of these is an all new battery saving feature, that's there to help you when you're out of luck and don't have a power source nearby with your smartphone's battery running low. Power saving modes are present currently in several Android devices, such as Samsung's Galaxy S5, but with Android Lollipop, you can enable the feature regardless of what device you own. So if you're looking to save your device's battery and make sure it lasts more than a day or two on low power, then all you need to do is follow a couple of simple steps. Start by simply dragging down the drop down menu from the top of the screen as shown in the image above. Then tap on the menu button on the top right and proceed to marking the power saving mode as default. That should take care of things.
If you want to enable power saving on your Android Device by default once your battery reaches either 5% or 15% then simply head over to Settings > Battery and tap on the menu button. From there select the power saving mode. You'll be able to know with ease when your device is running on power saving mode as the top and bottom borders on the screen will turn to orange from black. In addition to this, several features of your device will be turned off. These include slow system performance as well as turning off of several background notification services like facebook messenger and any email accounts that you might have added.
