Samsung Launches Its Own Mobile OS “Bada” Phone

Mobile World Congress start today and Samsung has already taken a lead by launching mobile phone based on its own Mobile Operating System by the name of "Bada".

Samsung unveiled it OS with the Wave S8500 phone powered by "Bada". The phone features 1 GHz processor along with AMOLED screen. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.0 and it will be available in April 2010.

Samsung is also the company working along side Microsoft for testing their upcoming Windows Phone 7 Series OS, which due to be revealed in MS CEO Steve Balmer's keynote address.

JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung's Mobile Communications Division said, while talking to the press that "It's a new era, the smartphone era...we are committed to making the smartphone experience a truly democratic one".
