Starcraft 2 Legacy of The Void Beta might be coming in March

Blizzard has asked outlets to issue requests for Starcraft 2 Legacy of the Void beta keys, which usually means that the beta will launch in roughly a months time. Most of the time Blizzard is mentioned in the news nowadays it's generally about Hearthstone or Heroes of The Storm. But once upon a time, Eons ago, they were actually most known for their Warcraft and Starcraft series. Some of us older fans have been patiently waiting since forever for the conclusion of the Starcraft Trilogy -Legacy of The Void.

Starcraft 2 Legacy of The Void beta at the end of March would be perfect for The Esports Community

If the beta arrives at the end of March or early April that would fit quite well for when WCS Season 1 ends, and seeing as the last Starcraft beta (Heart of The Swarm) was sent out to the more prominent Esports players first and later on to media outlets and regular players, this seems to line up quite well. Essentially what has happened today is that Blizzard has asked a few outlets to put in their requests for Legacy of The Void beta keys, and this in turn points to the beta kicking of in roughly a months time, as it has been the last couple of times. Over at the The Daily Dot one inside source told them that last time a request was issued for a Blizzard title “the keys arrived about three weeks later.” Another source this time from an Esports outlet told them the following:

“Blizzard will be aiming for an end of March or early April release. It’s great timing for them. WCS Season 1 will be all but over and this will give players plenty of time to stream the beta and generate some excitement. As things stand the beta is pretty much ready to launch with the balance team just tweaking a few units.”

So all in all end of March or early April, seems to make sense. But as I said one would wager that they would roll out the beta as they have done previously, by handing the Starcraft 2 pros access first, since they can give them the most feedback from a competitive standpoint.

I'm looking forward to Legacy of The Void, and finally getting a conclusion on the Starcraft Saga, oh and it's fun to get your ass kicked in multiplayer sometimes as well!
