Summer of 2015 is turning out to be an interesting one for gadgets indeed. We're expecting several launches in the next couple of months, all of which are flagship smartphones as well, which will make for great additions into the already blooming flagship-sphere. Two of the devices are from the Korean electronics giant Samsung, which has already had a strong start this year. With the launch of the Galaxy S6 Duo, which marked a complete change of things for Samsung, the manufacturer seems to finally have gotten its devices just right, and the upcoming Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are further expected to lend weight to Samsung's growing fortunes.

Samsung's Galaxy Note 5 And S6 Edge Now Tipped For August 13 Release

The Korean media is quite abuzz about Samsung's upcoming device launches, and rightly so it seems as well. After we saw a tad bit of confusion surrounding both the devices' launch date, which also caused JK Shin, head of Samsung Mobile to jump in, the general buzz around is that the Galaxy Note 5 will indeed be launching on August 12th.

Well, BusinessKorea would like to differ from these rumors today, but not by a large amount. The publication is now reporting that the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy Note 5 both will be coming on August 13th, in a special event to be held in New York. Looks like Samsung's fear and desire to give tough competition to Apple is really panning out this time, as the launch of the Note has generally been at the IFA, held in Berlin every year.

Both the devices will prove to be a unique experience for Samsung, as the Korean smartphone giant will not only be debuting a Note device outside IFA for the first time, but the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will also mark a unique 'Plus' launch of its Galaxy S flagship smartphone series. Samsung's been reported by several quarters to have underplayed the Edge variant of the Galaxy lineup this year, and the Korean manufacturer seems eager to make amends.
