Need for Speed Will be Playable at Gamescom Next Week

Gamescom is the world’s largest consumer event for videogames, and with this year's event just around the corner, the floor plans have been made available on the official gamescom website. Microsoft, Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts and Ubisoft, have some massive booths and so does Sony, even though they will not be holding a press conference this year. Square Enix, Warner Bros. and Konami are also present, as are Take-Two, Bandai Namco, Sega, Konami and Deep Silver.

Need for Speed will be playable for the first time at Gamescom

EA, will be providing attendees the chance to get a hands on with Need for Speed for the first time has shared some details on what will be on display when the Gamescom event begins on August 5. the hands-on demo will offer players the chance to visit the garage of Need for Speed and check out five cars, as well as a taste of the game's customization, before hitting the streets.

EA will be holding a press conference on August 5, and Need for Speed will surely be a big part of it. Need for Speed will be located at the EA booth in hall 6, and attendees can check out the game at following times:

  • Wednesday, August 5, 09:00 - 19:00 CEST (Wednesday is open for press and trade visitors only)
  • Thursday, August 6, 10:00 - 20:00 CEST
  • Friday, August 7, 10:00 - 20:00 CEST
  • Saturday, August 8, 10:00 - 20:00 CEST
  • Sunday, August 9, 09:00 - 18:00 CEST

Need for Speed introduces Five Ways to Play set in a world twice the size of Rivals

Speed, Style, Build, Crew, and Outlaw. Combine all five to create that perfect Need for Speed moment; driving insanely fast, sliding through a corner in your customized ride alongside your friends, whilst being chased by the cops. The roads are there for the taking and every inch of Ventura Bay is yours to own in this urban playground where the streets only come to life at night.

Set in a world that is roughly twice the size of Need for Speed Rivals you’ll discover a rich open world environment that never sleeps and is packed full of life. From the tightly packed streets of downtown, where you seek out that perfect donut spot, to the sweeping valley roads where high-speed and long drifts are the norm. Race through the industrial district with your crew in tow or seek the thrill of the chase within police hotspots.

The game will be released on November 3rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We will bring you any new information on Need for Speed as soon as it becomes available.
