SOMA’s New Trailer Showcases Immensely Atmospheric Environments from Amnesia Creators

Frictional Games, creators of the groundbreaking Amnesia and Penumbra series, have released a new trailer for SOMA, their sci-fi horror game, coming out 22nd September 2015 on PC and PS4. The new trailer, which can be seen below, showcases the gorgeously atmospheric environments of SOMA.

SOMA promises bigger scares than Amnesia

Frictional Games promise that SOMA is going be more scary than their previous hit title. It's powered by a modified version of Amnesia’s engine, bringing the horror atmosphere to a new level. With inspirations from titles like DOOM, Bioshock and the Silent Hill series, Frictional Games follow their hugely influential Amnesia titles with a promising sci-sfi twist to their established horror heritage.

The radio has gone silent on PATHOS-2. As isolation bears down on the staff of the remote research facility, strange things are happening.

Machines are taking on human traits and alien constructions have started to interfere with routine. The world around them is turning into a nightmare.

The only way out is to do something unimaginable.

SOMA will be available on September 22 for the PC and the PlayStation 4. We will bring you any new information as soon as it becomes available.
