iOS 9 GM was seeded to those enrolled in the Apple Developer Program soon after the big 'Hey Siri' event. The build is essentially the final shipping release that will be available on the 16th of September, and comes with a lot of refinements over the previous betas. And today we're seeing a new addition in the GM build which wasn't present before in any iOS 9 beta - 'Hey Siri' voice training.

If you're on a pre-iOS 9 build of Apple's mobile firmware, then navigating to Settings > General > Siri and turning on the 'Hey Siri' switch will toggle the feature without any sort of prompt whatsoever. But in iOS 9 GM, if you happen to toggle the 'Hey Siri' switch to the ON position, you'll be required to train your iOS device to recognize your voice even better for the 'Hey Siri' hotword when connected to a power source. Keep in mind that 'Hey Siri' works on an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus without requiring to be plugged into a power outlet, as Apple's new hardware is more than capable enough for the feature to always remain on.

The 'Hey Siri' training is fairly obvious from the face of things, and you are required to say things like 'Hey Siri' and 'Hey Siri, how's the weather today?' until your iOS device can recognize it perfectly, subsequently helping it to understand you better in the future.

Here's what the new 'Hey Siri' voice training looks like:

As we mentioned above, the final build of iOS 9 will be rolled out to all compatible devices on the 16th of September. And a few days after iOS 9 has been rolled out, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will start shipping out to those who pre-ordered the device, more specifically, on the 25th.

There are a lot of changes in iOS 9 that make up for a massive upgrade, and with iOS 9 and iPhone 6s, Apple is pushing the boundaries even further of what a smartphone can be capable of doing, all thanks to the new flagships' 3D Touch display and other underlying hardware.

We'll bring to our readers more news and updates regarding iOS 9 in the days to come, so be sure to stay tuned to our coverage.
