Apple Expecting iPhone 6s/iPhone 6s Plus Pre-orders To Exceed 10 Million During Launch Period

Apple has incorporated several upgrades in its iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. With the company already accepting pre-orders of its flagship smartphone duo, it is expecting that the performance enhanced and feature enriched devices will exceed the previous launch sales record held by iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple Expects iPhone 6s And iPhone 6s To Exceed The 10 million Sales Mark On Launch Day

If you have not been following our coverage of iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, they you have not been paying attention that both devices are going to launch globally on September 25, and will be available to purchase through 400 carriers that are present in over 130 countries. According to Macrumors, Apple has stated that there has been a lot of positive reaction towards the company’s newly announced iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

“Customer response to iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus has been extremely positive and preorders this weekend were very strong around the world. We are on pace to beat last year's 10 million unit first-weekend record when the new iPhones go on sale September 25. As many customers noticed, the online demand for iPhone 6s Plus has been exceptionally strong and exceeded our own forecasts for the preorder period. We are working to catch up as quickly as we can, and we will have iPhone 6s Plus as well as iPhone 6s units available at Apple retail stores when they open next Friday.”

iPhone 6s features a screen size of 4.7 inches, while its larger screen brother carries a screen size of 5.5 inches. Both devices are running Apple’s A9 SoC, which has been fabricated under the 14nm FinFET/16nm FinFET process. Through Xcode, it was finally confirmed that both iPhones feature 2GB of RAM, while another leak reported by us states that instead of running a single dual-core processor, both smartphones are running a quad-core processor based on ARM’s big.LITTLE architecture.
