Star Wars Battlefront Has Endor Speeder Racing Trials; Server Browser Petition Signed By Over 2K Fans

The latest issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine subtly provided some Star Wars Battlefront news. According to OPM, while the main game modes are Survival and competitive multiplayer, there will be a series of trials meant to introduce players to game mechanics.

These include Endor speeder bike racing, AT-AT tow cable tripping and X-Wing crash courses. Moreover, these trials, just like Survival, may be played alone with bots, in split-screen co-op and even online co-op.

In related news, you may have read that Star Wars Battlefront won't have a server browser. This was confirmed a few weeks ago by DICE Community Manager Sledegehammer70 on Reddit and it immediately sparked the disappointment of quite a few gamers. One of them decided to create a petition on Change.org that now counts over 2,000 signatures.

Moreover, a link to the petition has been stickied by Star Wars Battlefront's subreddit moderators, meaning that a lot of people are now aware of it, including DICE folks themselves. Of course, that does not guarantee that they'll do something about it, but it certainly shows them the people's feedback on the matter.

Star Wars Battlefront Releases On November 17 in North America & November 20 in Europe

We're about two months away from the release of Star Wars Battlefront now, but you won't have to wait that long. In fact, DICE confirmed that there will be an open beta in early October for all platforms.

We don't know yet for how long it will last, but stay tuned and we'll be sure to provide that information once it becomes available.
