Microsoft Testing Windows 10 Mobile Preview 10547 – PC Build Also Being Tested

After over a month of wait, Microsoft finally managed to roll out Windows 10 Mobile preview build 10536 to the Fast ring members last week. This was the first update to follow Windows 10 Mobile 10512 and brought in bug fixes and some feature enhancements, including an updated Photos app and one-handed mode for all the devices.

If you were wondering if Microsoft will take another month to release the next Mobile build, it seems unlikely. We might actually receive the next build very soon. Responding to a query, Microsoft's Gabriel Aul has tweeted today that the next Windows 10 Mobile build will be 10547, which he says is in the internal Fast ring. With the launch of Windows 10 Mobile only a few weeks away, Microsoft might push this build out sooner than later. However, there can be no confirmation as to when exactly the next build will be rolled out.

As shared with our readers earlier, Windows 10 Mobile is almost feature-complete now, which means the focus is largely upon bug fixing and performance improvements. However, new bugs and problems are being discovered even in the new builds as the last Windows 10 Mobile 10536 brought some problems including one specifically related to Lumia 10240's camera. The next Windows 10 Mobile build 10547 might be the one that brings in fixes to all these and previously reported issues in the operating system making way for the launch of the Windows 10 Mobile.

As far as the desktop build is concerned, Gabe Aul also tweeted that the same build number for Windows 10 PC is also in the internal ring. He clarifies that the "Both. Builds with same # are produced at the same time, but progress through mobile/pc rings independently."

Don't expect any of these builds coming out this week though as Gabe clearly stated that there won't be any builds today and that the company avoids "Friday drops."
