A new addition in some social networking apps is the introduction of autoplaying videos. As great as it sounds, one might always argue the negative externalities attached to the experience. Instagram has had the autoplay video feature for a long time, to be more accurate the app did not even had a play button. Stop Your Videos From Autoplaying In Your News Feed

Autoplaying videos on Facebook is very easy to switch off. It does not require any kind of technical knowledge or the use of an additional software. It's all controlled from within the official Facebook app. This method can be applied to any iOS running device. However, make sure you have an updated version of the Facebook app. So let's get to business and turn off the autoplaying videos from your News Feed.

Step 1:

First of all, you have to open the official Facebook app on your iOS device. Tap the more button located at the lower right corner of the display.

Step 2:

Scroll down and navigate to the Settings tab. Once you do this, tap on the Account Setting option out of the three options prompted.

Step 3:

Tap Videos and Photos from the list of options provided.

Step 4:

Tap on Autoplay option which will take you to the next page where you will turn the autoplaying feature on for videos on your News Feed.

Step 5:

Out of the three options provided, check the last one that says 'Never Autoplay Videos'. Once you do this, go back to your News Feed and see if the videos are playing on their own. If they are not, you have successfully turned the autoplay feature off.

This is a very easy task and if you want to switch back and enable the video autoplay feature, repeat the method and select your desired option from the Autoplay screen.
