Google Keep is an Evernote-like app that stores content. The app was officially launched for Android a few years back with support for desktops and Chrome web app. Now, the company is advancing forward to a new platform. Google Keep has been finally released for iOS devices constituting the iPhone and the iPad. Albeit, Apple has its own Notes app that performs quite amazingly after being updated, Google's Keep app has a slightly different layout.

The stock Notes app alternative for iOS, Google's Keep app offers a lot of features which are new to iOS users. Google Keep can not be regarded as an Evernote killer, but it stood out quite handy for Android users who needed to jot things down in need. Henceforth, it is expected that it will prove to be the same in the rival platform, iOS.

So let's dive in to see how it stacks up against the stock Notes app in iOS and what new features have been included in the release.

Google Keep Provides Customization Of Notes In iOS

Google's note taking app, Keep also has features of a journal that allows users to save a lot of other things rather than just notes. It provides easy customization options which are appealing to the eyes. The stock Notes app on iOS does not allow users to customize their notes with color labels, so it's a win for Google Keep in that regard. Users also have the ability to share their notes in real time with family and colleagues. Note sharing simply enhances productivity for a lot of reasons, so it is a really good addition.

iOS users now have the ability to save notes, photos and merge reminders and other related content like links, voice notes and more. The notes in Google Keep can also be set by location or time and there is an easy way to search for notes using filters for content category, different color labels and more. Google Keep also has support for syncing notes with Android app, Chrome web, Windows as well as Mac. Syncing with Windows and Mac provides a seamless, consistent tool so users can carry their work to the desktop with ease.

Google's official note taking app for iOS, Keep is now available on the App Store for free. If you're the type of person who keeps notes, Google Keep is a must have. So do give this app a whirl and let us know how you liked it in the comments.
