Galaxy Tab S2 is not going to be the only tablet be released this year because the South Korean tech giant also has plans for its Galaxy View; a tablet that measures in at 18.4 inches. Here are all the details that you need to know about it.

Galaxy View From Samsung Gets Certified – Here Are All The Hardware Details Surrounding It

According to a source, Galaxy View has been certified by RRA today, indicating that the product is going to be released in the market very soon. Samsung has incorporated a very generous 18.4 inch TFT display that will exude a resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels.

We are not so sure as to which particular market the company intends on targeting, but a large screen like this can only be used for entertainment or work purposes, and if the tablet does not come with a keyboard accessory or magnetic kickstand to help it stand in a position that will give notebook users a peace of mind, then we are not so sure how the product is going to be end up being successful.

According to our previous report, Galaxy View is going to feature the company’s own developed Exynos 7580 SoC, along with 2GB of RAM. These specifications are mediocre at best, which begs the question as to why the company did not incorporate something that will deliver a bit more punch when the objective is to view high-definition content, on engage in multitasking operations. Exynos 7580 does come with an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor running at a speed of 1.6GHz, but it comes nowhere close to the performance of Exynos 7420, or Snapdragon 810 for that matter.

There is going to be a MicroSD card slot with a capacity limit of 128GB and a battery capacity of 5,700mAh. While the battery is quite small for something to be present in an 18.4 inch tablet, but given its resolution, we expect that users will be able to rake out sufficient battery time from it. The official model name of Galaxy View is SM-T670, and unfortunately, there are no pricing details available of the product at this time.

However, large screen tablets do not exactly come cheap, and while Galaxy View does sport mid-range hardware specs, its 18.4 inch form factor will largely be responsible for a steep price tag. Do you guys think the gargantuan sized tablet will do well in the market or not? Let us know your thoughts.
