OS X El Capitan Beta 4

Apple released the final build of OS X 10.11 El Capitan yesterday for everyone around the globe to download. And while the desktop OS is packed with a lot of small changes that make up for a good upgrade, the Cupertino giant is not resting on its laurels just yet and is already working on a future update of its desktop operating system.

OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan beta focusses on fixing a lot of bugs and boosting performance by a huge margin. But given that the first release of El Capitan is solid in terms of foundations, it's great to see that Apple is way ahead of its game to ensure that it delivers the best in experience and performance to its user base.

If you happen to download and install the Public Beta of OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan on your Mac, then grabbing the second pre-release build is as easy as pie. Simply launch the Mac App Store from Launchpad, or your Dock, and then click on the Updates tab at the top. Given that you have a fast Internet connection at hand, the Public Beta 2 update will pop up in a few seconds, ready to be downloaded and installed on your Mac. Proceed with the installation and you'll be required to restart your Mac once you're done.

Apple released the second developer focussed beta of OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan just two days back, and it's highly likely that both the releases are exactly the same in terms of features and changes. So don't go around digging deep inside the Public Beta expecting something new. But, if Apple did manage to sneak in a new feature without our knowledge, then we'll definitely highlight it here, so stay tuned for that.

You can grab the OS X 10.11.1 El Capitan update straight away through Apple's Beta Software Program. It's absolutely free, and getting up to speed with it doesn't take more than a few minutes. For more details on how to download the latest pre-release build, check out our article posted here.
