Apple has stopped signing iOS 9.2 firmware, henceforth you can no longer downgrade from iOS 9.2.1 on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch. What does that mean for jailbreak users?
You Can No Longer Downgrade To iOS 9.2
Released around three weeks back, iOS 9.2.1 download is a small update that aimed to fix bugs and patch security flaws without bringing anything new to the table. And while the new update was available readily for every iPhone, iPad and iPod touch user around the globe, Apple was signing iOS 9.2 alongside it, which meant that you could easily perform a downgrade from iOS 9.2.1 on your device using iTunes. Today however, Apple has stopped signing iOS 9.2, killing off the downgrade game altogether.
But what does it mean for jailbreak users?
There's good news, and there's bad news both at the same time. The bad news is that if you've upgraded to iOS 9.2.1 already, then you cannot downgrade back, that's a given. But the good news is that the Pangu team has deemed it safe to update to iOS 9.2.1, and one developer is already flaunting an iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak, which can drop any moment, given everything goes according to plan.
If you're already on a version of iOS that can be jailbroken, then we strictly advise you to not update at any cost, as you'll lose the jailbreak altogether. Just ignore any update prompt that you might receive on-device or using iTunes. But, if the iOS 9.2.1 jailbreak does drop at any point, given that iOS 9.2.1 is also being signed at that moment, then we highly recommend to update straight away. But for now, just hang in tight.

It won't be long until Apple releases iOS 9.3 to the public, bringing with it a handful of feature additions and enhancements, and of course, the oh-so important bug fixes. Also do keep in mind that there's a chance Apple would patch iOS 9.3 in such a way that it will patch the jailbreak altogether before it's even released, so be ready to expect a bunch of surprises in the coming days and weeks.
Update to iOS 9.2.1 right away if you're sitting on iOS 9.2 folks, you never know when Apple might release a new firmware update.
