4. You'll see a bunch of options in this page. With '30 Seconds' being the lowest option available, it's great to set that one up as it will turn off the display quickly when your device is idle, saving you battery life. If you want to go full-on rogue then set the option to 'Never.' Although we would highly recommend '3 Minutes' to be the most optimum in a lot of cases. The final choice is yours to take though.

If you're a brand new iOS user then the above mentioned tip will go a long way for you when it comes to day to day usage of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

We highly recommend that you play around with the setting and see which one works best for you. For instance, if you're the type of user who only likes to peek at their smartphone or tablet from time to time and prefer not to spend much time on it, then the '30 seconds' option is the way to go.

If you're a frequent user of your smartphone or tablet, then choosing a higher value time out setting is the way to go, as it will keep your device awake for an extended period of time, giving you more minutes to glance at the display.
